We provide what cannot be purchased from local building suppliers, just the
logs and assembly materials for your log home, cabin, or business structure; in
a kit form that is simple to build. The kit includes: pre-measured, pre-cut, and
pre-numbered 6”x8” logs, log hog screws, polyethylene insulating rod, weather-
stripping and wooden dowels. With exception of trimming roof pitch on any log
gable ends, no cutting is needed. When the kit is assembled, you end up with a
log wall shell with door and window openings in place. The rest of the materials
needed to finish the home can be purchased from local suppliers; making the
project more cost friendly. We supply a materials list with measurements for the
doors windows and roof, along with a foundation plan, blueprints and
instructions to put the structure in "the dry". Our manufacturer is also able to
provide technical assistance during construction.
We are not builders. However, any competent builder or “do it yourself” home
owner should be able to construct our kits just by studying and following the
instructions and blueprints that accompany the kit.
Why the “kit” approach, as opposed to “we do it all and supply it all” log home
providers”?
A. Gives you four construction options: The last being most cost effective.
1) Allows you the freedom to choose your own contractor that
you feel comfortable with and that best meets your target
budget.
2) Manage the project yourself by employing a consulting
contractor and the subs. This puts you in control of the
spending and gives you the contractor pricing. Consulting
contractor fees can be 10 to 15 percent less, saving you
thousands on the project.
3) Manage the project yourself without a consulting contractor
using sub contractors only.
4) Manage and do all the work yourself. (Contractor license may
be required in some areas.)
B. Gives you the freedom to negotiate prices while shopping the "finish-up"
materials that local suppliers provide such as trusses, roofing, windows,
doors, decking, insulation, flooring, kitchen and bath fixtures, interior
walls, and lighting.
C. Avoid the purchasing, storing, and shipping mark ups of finish materials.
D. Local suppliers may have more variety to choose from.
E. Limits storing of finish materials at building site which would be
vulnerable to damaging elements and theft.
We guarantee your satisfaction of our log kits when they arrive at the building
site. If any logs or any of the assembly materials that come with the log kit are
missing or defective upon inspection at delivery, a new replacement will be
promptly sent.
